Welcome!

What to Expect

Konnexion is hosted in a remote location outside of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho—just a short drive from Boise. Because we do not allow re-entry, please plan to camp for the weekend.
On the property, we provide supplemental water, along with sanitation stations and restrooms. A variety of local food vendors will also be available throughout the event.
We’re all about community, so join a workshop, explore a theme camp, make friends at the stages, and check out interactive art installations. Come with an open mind and leave with an enhanced view of the world.

Pro Tip: Bring at least one gallon per day per person, and refill as needed

Location & Transportation

Konnexion is located 45 minutes from Boise outside of Horseshoe Bend. The final drive to the venue is 7 miles of dirt road, please bring a suitable vehicle and carpool to reduce our impact on the roads.

You can find direct directions in our mobile application or via Google Maps by searching “Konnexion Music Festival.”

Pro Tip: Add your tickets to your digital wallet or download to your phone before arrival to keep the lines into the venue small.

Weather in this region can be unpredictable. Daytime heat may give way to cool or even chilly nights, so layers are essential. Bring warm blankets or jackets for after-dark sets. Decorating your campsite with string lights, tapestries, or flags is a fun way to express creativity and make it easier to locate your home base. Above all, respect campground rules and practice Leave No Trace principles—pack out all of your trash and keep the site clean for the next person.

Festival Essentials to Pack

Hydration: Bring a refillable water bottle or hydration pack. Staying hydrated is crucial, especially if you plan on dancing non-stop.

Footwear: Comfortable shoes are a must. Even if you go barefoot at times, you’ll want something sturdy for walking between stages.

Clothing: Daytime temperatures can be hot, while nights can be quite cold. Layer up! You might be in shorts by day but will likely need a jacket or hoodie after sunset.

Personal Necessities: Earplugs (to protect your hearing), hand sanitizer, toilet paper, baby wipes, a small first-aid kit, and a headlamp or flashlight for navigating at night.

ID and Cash: Have your wallet with valid ID and some cash on hand; while many vendors accept cards, service can be spotty, and cash is always a safe backup.

Workshops & Activities

Besides music, Konnexion hosts workshops on everything from yoga and breathwork to flow arts and sound healing. You’ll also find interactive art installations and dedicated spaces where artists create live murals, perform fire spinning, or teach juggling and hooping.

Check the schedule in advance to prioritize workshops that most interest you. Some might overlap with your favorite artist’s set, so plan accordingly. These offerings are a great way to immerse yourself in the festival’s creative spirit—don’t miss out!

Food & Vendors

We host a variety of food vendors—from traditional festival staples like pizza and burgers to more health-conscious options like smoothie bowls, vegan tacos, and gluten-free dishes. Bringing some of your own food can help you stick to a budget or dietary needs; sealed snacks like granola bars, nuts, or dried fruit can be a lifesaver in between meals.

We have hydration stations in the camping areas and near the Main Stage—use them to stay hydrated. Vendors also sell art, clothing, jewelry, and flow toys. If you plan to shop, bring cash or confirm whether vendors accept cards. Supporting local artisans and small businesses not only helps the community but also gives you a memorable souvenir to take home.

Festival Etiquette & Culture

Respect is the cornerstone of Konnexion’s culture—respect for yourself, others, performers, and the environment. Always be mindful of personal space and practice clear consent, whether you’re offering a hug or sharing flow props.

At night, keep noise levels reasonable in designated quiet zones. If you’re playing music at your campsite, be sure it doesn’t disturb your neighbors late into the night. Amplified sound is not allowed in camping areas.

We also follow Leave No Trace principles, which means properly sorting your waste, recycling whenever possible, and not leaving any trash behind. Embrace the communal spirit by offering to share resources like sunscreen or shade. You’ll often find others willing to lend a helping hand in return.

Safety & Security

Your safety is a priority. Konnexion has a medical area staffed with trained professionals who also roam the event space. Familiarize yourself with their location so you know where to go if you need help. It’s wise to keep a small first-aid kit on hand for minor issues like blisters or headaches. If you have any serious concerns, contact festival staff immediately—they’re there to assist.

Remember to stay hydrated, especially if it’s hot or you’re dancing for extended periods. Pace yourself with any substances, and be aware of harm-reduction resources like testing kits or information booths, if available. If you see anyone who seems disoriented or in distress, alert a staff member or medical volunteer. A simple check-in can make all the difference.

Safety & Security

Connectivity & Communication

Because the venue is remote, cell phone reception can be spotty. Plan ahead by designating a meeting place or approximate times to regroup with friends if you get separated. Many attendees use flags, inflatables, or unique tapestries to make their campsite easier to spot.

The upside of limited connectivity is the opportunity to unplug and immerse yourself in the experience. Embrace it—strike up a conversation with a stranger, learn a new skill at a workshop, or get lost in the music without the distraction of notifications.

Planning Your Departure

As the festival winds down, you’ll likely be exhilarated but also exhausted. Start cleaning up your campsite early to avoid a last-minute rush. Dispose of trash properly and leave your spot in the same—or better—condition than you found it. This respect for the venue helps ensure we can continue hosting events here for years to come.

To avoid traffic, consider leaving very early or waiting until after peak departure hours. Coordinate with your group so everyone knows the plan. Take a moment to reflect on the weekend, the people you met, and the memories you’ll carry with you—even as you return to daily life.

Please ensure that whoever is driving is well-rested and sober before hitting the road. If you need extra time to rest, don’t hesitate to let our staff know.
